Exquisite!

Delicate yet regal, the Poltimore tiara was made for Lady Poltimore, wife of the second Baron Poltimore, who was Treasurer to Queen Victoria's household. The tiara, designed by Garrard in 1870, remained in the family until it was sold at auction in 1959. The new owner, Princess Margaret, sister to Queen Elizabeth II, wore this diamond tiara on her wedding day and famously posed with it in a bathtub in Kensington Palace in a picture taken by her husband. Pretty in pink (and red and violet). Here are some dazzling fancy colored diamonds to close out February. The Argyle mine closed last year after almost four decades of operation during which it supplied the majority of the world's pink diamonds. The jaw-dropping beauties in this collection are from one of Argyle's last tenders, called “One Lifetime, One Encounter,” named to celebrate the legacy of the mine.
