Memorial Day is more than just a great excuse for a cookout and a day off from work. The holiday was created to honor the many American men and women who died in military service. This focus on those who made the ultimate sacrifice sets it apart from Veterans’ Day, which honors all military veterans, living and dead.

We cannot believe it’s been 24 years!! The feelings of how that day unfolded still sit with us today as we are sure it does with most of us that lived through it. Today is a day of remembrance of all those lost on 9/11 and the subsequent loss of life for all of our troops fighting the evil that attacked our country.

Fly your flags at half staff today on Patriot Day and keep them lowered until Sunday 9/14 to also honor the tragic and heartbreaking assassination of Charlie Kirk. Prayers going out to his family, friends, colleagues and those inspired by him. This one hits hard! 💔
