I'm not a knitter, but I did take a break from my knotwork to read this. I can totally relate, and find myself turning to my knots and string when the world just feels like too much. I actually returned to knotting, after not having done it for 15 years, shortly after my grandfather died. It just has a way of making the rest of the world disappear.

The best way I've found to fight my anxiety is with a pair of knitting needles.
