Can I tell you what I hear from wire weavers more than anything else?

“I finished one of your tutorials, loved it, and now I don’t know what to do next.”

And that’s exactly why I created the Artisan Tutorial Vault. 🗝️

Instead of hunting for your next project, you’ll find everything in one place: over 30+ of my tutorials and guides, arranged so you can grow from your very first weave to pieces you’re proud to gift or sell. New videos tutorial are also being added, so there’s always something waiting at your bench. 😉

With the holidays coming, so many of us are starting to think about handmade gifts. The Vault lets you make something different for every person on your list without buying pattern after pattern. So not only are you getting those gifts together for the ones you love, but you're learning more, too!

Are you a fan of moons? 🌙 Well then, good news!

I happen to be working on adding a new pendant and earrings set to the Vault featuring this moon design! 🥰

I’ve wanted to create something like it for a while now, and am finally getting around to it. lol. And it’s a more dainty design as well, making it lightweight and super easy to wear every day. Oh, and did I mention that you can use a coin bead or a cabochon? 😉

I’ll be including both written and video tutorials to the Vault showing you each and every step of how to create this design. If you want to be the first to try it out, comment “NEWSLETTER” to join the email list and get notified of when it’s officially released! 📩

After 5 years of teaching on YouTube and in person, this is probably the MOST common problem I see and it's "how to control your wire tension". 🥲

One of my first videos, (with me actually showing my face.. lol), actually touched on this topic briefly. And I often sent people to it when they struggled control their wire and getting more consistent weaves. But after watching it again, I felt that it was lacking, as it was meant to just touch on the subject and move on to other helpful tips. 😅

So, I created this guide, which includes a brief video lesson, that goes over what tension is, how to control it and even some helpful troubleshooting so you know what you need to fix. 🔨

Once I understood wire tension, I began to actually enjoy wire weaving and was more than comfortable sharing my work and even selling it because I was confident in the quality of my work. And that's what I hope that this guide does for you! 🥰

Comment "TENSION" and I'll send you the info to check it out for yourself. 🔗

I took the leap and decided to polish this delicate piece in the tumbler! 😅

After gaining some confidence in tumbling some of my previous works, I decided to throw another one of my Woodland Cadence Collection pieces in it and let it work it’s magic. 🪄

I admit, I was nervous about using it after comments came in warning me about the damage they can do, but the majority of the stones I use are very hard and seem to do really well! 😃

I will try it on labradorite one of these days, but I’ll be sure to seal it up and protect it with tape and see how it does. 🫣

As for the facets, I almost always use cubic zirconia, so I’m not at all worried about them getting damaged. 😉

I am planning on doing a YouTube video on this topic once I’m more comfortable working with it and will share all I’ve learned.

If you’d like me to make a video about using the tumbler, let me know in the comments! 😊

“This one reminds me of something out of a story book”... 📖 🍃

This was something that my mother-in-law told me when I was working on this piece late one evening.

I had brought my tool box, my journal and materials to make this exact piece with me when we went to visit them at the beginning of September. After getting the little ones settled, I plopped my little toolbox in front of me on the coffee table and got to work. 🤲

I had already picked out the stone, a green opal, and sketched out my design idea. I wasn’t going to create a tree of life design initially, but thought that it would compliment the design as the Cassia tree has yellow blossoms that I thought would be reflected by the yellow hue in the top of the stone. Especially with the branches of the tree laid over top of it. 💛🌼

I had initially picked out a darker cubic zirconia, but later decided on more cream colored facets instead to better compliment the stone.

After completing the frame and creating the tree, I slowly and methodically began weaving its components and carefully set the stone. From there, I added prong settings and leaves to symbolize the season’s changing of color. The swirls of brass and copper began to take shape, reminding me of the cool breezes that blow through here this time of year. 🌬️🍃

After finishing the piece, I got to work darkening the wire and polishing it by hand and tumbling it to harden the wire. To say that this piece is stunning falls short, I think. I didn’t see it before, but it really does look like it something that came right out of a story book. Every graceful swirl, hand-woven component and every leaf speaks to its whimsy and unique character. 🥰

Is this a piece you would wear? If so, would you let me know why? 👇

I had a few comments last week responding to the fact that I was getting myself a tumbler. Which, honestly, was very good! As I don’t know much about them other than the little bit that I’ve read.

So, with that in mind, I made sure to use the stoutest of stones and only ran it for a short time at first to see how they turned out. 🫣

They were definitely more shiny than when they first went in. And I did run them for an additional 20 minutes, but forgot to add the end result.. (Oops!) lol. 😅

I did experiement with some other pieces as well and was soo happy with how they turned out! I’m planning on making a video for them in the future, so if you have anything to add or questions mulling about in your mind, please let me know in the comments section! 👇

After 34 years around the sun, I got to thinking about how I feel about my life thus far... Here's what I found out:

1. I HAVE to have a "frou-frou" coffee every morning. At this point, it's the only thing motivating me to get out of bed after late-night wakings from my littles. ☕

2. I can't' always wear jewelry all that often as my baby yanks on them... Great for testing new designs! lol 💪

3. I love animals! But I just can't have them in a tiny house with all my kiddos running around... I have a great time trying not to trip over all of their toys and blankets they like to leave about. 😸

4. I sell at a local market in town and sometimes teach classes, too. (I hope to start doing some more soon once baby is ready). So, maybe January? 🔨

5. My favorite time of year is the Fall season. Not sure if that's just because I was born this time of year, the feeling it gives me or all the Pumpkin spice. 🎃

And what about you? I'd love to hear about what you've observed about your life. Leave your thoughts and musings in the comments! 🥰👇

And it’s not quite done! 🥲

Funny story. I’ve been polishing pieces like this using a Dremel for years now, but finally purchased a tumbler. Why? Because these smaller pieces are more difficult to polish! 😅 I want even more of the woven texture to shine through and show the patience spent creating these pieces. ❤️

Once it comes in, I’ll be sure to share this piece after it’s been through the tumbler and even more polished than it is now!

Be sure to hit that follow button to see it completely finished! 😉

In case you needed a reason to justify your stone collecting habits… 😉

If you want to check out more goodies like these, comment CASDANS and I’ll send you the link to their website! ❤️ Happy weaving!

Thanks to Casdans for these amazing stones!
