2025 Signature Piece
When I go to a beach, one of my favorite things to do is to look for sea glass. It’s not always easy to find and when I do find a piece or more I feel like I have found a treasure!
I woke up, thinking how we are like pieces of sea glass. Just as every piece of Seaglass is unique, so are each of us. Everyone has been broken at some point in their life - either intentionally or unintentionally by another person or event. Maybe our bottle was purposely discarded or maybe accidentally dropped and broken…but as time goes by, more storms come and the waves of life continue to toss us around until one day we are no longer a sharp, jagged pieces of glass…but through the storms and years we become smoother and softer around the edges.
Not everyone gets as excited over Seaglass as I do, and many people walk right over it without even noticing. And though I love any piece of sea glass, there are definitely certain colors and sizes that I get more excited about.
The same can be said for people. Not everybody will notice, appreciate or see the beauty in someone shaped by life’s storms, but when you find the people who see you as a treasure…hold on tight to them. And if you haven’t found your people, know that you’ll get tossed back in the ocean and eventually be swept up again by the waves. When the time is right, God will bring the person or people who see, appreciate and find treasure in your unique soul.
