✨ Summer Camp Spaces Still Available for Florida Diabetes Camp 2024!✨
We are happy to share that we still have spots available for our Florida Diabetes Camp sessions this summer! This is a fantastic opportunity for children and teens with type 1 diabetes to enjoy a fun, educational, and supportive environment. Here’s a snapshot of our unique programs for each age group:
✨ 1. Dogwood Acres Camp (Ages 7 to 12) – June 11-15, Chipley, FL✨
Nestled in the beautiful Dogwood Acres camp, this new camp in West Florida focuses on outdoor activities, including arts and crafts, swimming, and various sports, all designed to demonstrate that fun knows no limits. Our campers learn essential diabetes self-care skills, fostering independence and confidence in a camp supported by the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare - TMH team.
✨ 2. Fun Sports Camp (Ages 15 to 18) – June 9-14, Brandon, FL ✨
This dynamic program caters to teens and young athletes, offering an exciting blend of sports, teamwork, and diabetes management education. Activities are held at various facilities around Tampa Bay, providing campers with coaching in sports ranging from basketball and soccer to tennis and more.
✨ 3. Adventure Camp (Ages 15 to 18) – June 24-29, North Central Florida ✨
Embark on a cycling adventure, exploring Florida’s beautiful springs and camping under the stars—ideal for those who enjoy a good challenge and outdoor fun. This camp focuses on physical activities and involves campers in managing their diabetes, which is crucial as they transition to more independent lifestyles.
✨ 4. Pee-Wee Camp (Ages 5 to 9) – July 14-19, Brandon, FL ✨
Our youngest campers will find a magical world awaiting them at Pee-Wee Camp, where each day is packed with activities designed to ignite curiosity and joy. From swimming lessons to creative arts and crafts, this camp is a perfect introduction to the joys of summer camp, all within a nurturing community setting.
✨ 5. Camp Winona Session 1 (Ages 12 to 14) – July 21-26, De Leon Springs, FL✨
✨ 6. Camp Winona Session 2 (Ages 9 to 12) – August 4-9, De Leon Springs, FL✨
Located near the beautiful Ocala National Forest, these sessions offer a variety of activities like swimming, canoeing, and evening beach parties. Campers will enjoy a mix of fun and educational experiences that promote teamwork, independence, and self-management of diabetes.

Our camp counselors include inspiring role models, many of whom have type 1 diabetes themselves. They are joined by an exceptional team of endocrinologists, nurses, and other health professionals committed to providing a safe, educational, and fun experience for all campers.
