The rhythmic nature of the hammer striking metal is an active meditation.

It is a necessary process where I can fully get lost in the repetition, sound, and movement.

This specific series is a pure exploration of edges with no soldering and absolutely nothing added. Just a single piece of copper: every boundary, fold, and rim is formed solely through the pressure of the hammer to celebrate the raw integrity of the metal.

Zooming out to show the studio’s neighborhood backdrop. Just a clean, modern chalcedony ring keeping its cool against a literal rolling gothic cathedral.

Even the passenger is utterly exhausted by the sheer drama of this photoshoot 😂

A fresh variation on my sculptural Sterling Wave Earrings: hand-forged sterling silver forms that curl and flow like moving water, now punctuated with a small, hand-set gemstone.

Three pair of a favorite earring design are getting gemstones tomorrow and I seek color advice 😊

I can make two pair blue (a blue sapphire pair and a London blue topaz pair) but the third...yellow? I adore sapphires and these yellow stones popped for me and I had to buy them. Yellow doesn't always contrast well with sterling. As these are water wave inspired earrings, I think yellow for a spot of sunshine makes sense and I like.

I had amazing weeks in Ireland and Scotland this summer. A lot of swimming and art too. While my big swim did not go as planned as I learned I have a strong systemic reaction to Lions Mane toxins - I enjoyed the art and craft scene too.

I want to share the inspiration behind the necklace design I made for myself and three other swimmers with big plans this summer.

Exploring the water’s edge continues to shape my jewelry designs, and this piece comes directly from that ongoing exploration. This design references Sandy Cove Island in Kinsale, Ireland. An island we have swum around many times and will continue to do so as we prepare for the North Channel. I captured the specific contoured edge of Sandy Cove. The curved metal line is drawn from a section of the island’s edge and formed into a circle with a 3 mm prong-set gemstone.
