a cold soak in my new shed studio - while I cannot have a big-girl torch at home now - my small portable torch arrived yesterday 😊

This is a fun little statement ring. Sometimes I play in the studio just to remember how to form and solder 🤣. The band was a gift, it is cast gold and originally designed to hold a coin. I’m not a coin-ring person, so I formed a small sterling dome, soldered it to the prongs, and added a ring of beaded sterling wire.
Honestly, I’m surprised I stopped where I did.

I might still treat this as a tiny 3D wearable “exquisite corpse” and just keep adding to it… or should I leave it alone? 🤣

Still torchless at home, but very grateful I can rent studio time here in Maryland.

Well, Hello There Jeweler's Bench
While I’m navigating limited access to a torch in my studio practice, I’m grateful for the ability to rent bench space as needed—handling prep and finishing work at home, and making the trip for torch work as needed.

Since my last post, my hands have been busy shaping objects rather than words, with new earrings tumbling—soon to be polished and shared online.
