Since 2009 we have given 22 scholarships to OSU students a total of $105,790. Our endowed fund is at $270,000. Each year we give 50/50 money to Scholarship plus the Bingo Dinner and money from the General Budget to our scholarship Fund. We give $100 for each deceased member also.

Bi-Annual Election - honor the old and welcome the new -
We are pleased to announce that Chuck Hutchison, former National Champion football player under Woody Hayes and an NFL veteran will be our speaker for this year's annual meeting. Chuck also served as an executive for the Green Bay Packers and many other careers. He is the author of Getting My Hands Dirty: a Memoir of Resilience and Transformation from the Gridiron to the Garden. His book is very inspiring. He will be selling some of his books at the dinner.

There will be a Chinese auction of OSU memorabilia- you buy tickets and put it in the containers for the items you want to win. Proceeds are for Buckeye for Cancer James Center - presented during the Buckeye Cruise. Auction items0 OSU Rubik's cube, OSU cooler, Troy Smith jersey, Paris Campbell framed autographed jersey, Autographed footballs, Buckeye flag, Mini helmet signed by Jim Tressel, OSU golf head covers, 3 dozen buckeyes, two batches) and many more.
This is our election of new officers - Joe DiBello President and Denise Swetham Executive Vice President, Julie Schmitt Treasurer, Betty Eichenlaub Secretary.
Denny Stafford will be selling Wildwood School Discount Cards for the Athletic Dept. If you want to help out the kids from Wildwood, please buy the discount card - $10.

We reached the capacity of 80 at Tap House for Wednesday's 7:30 pm game watch. All of you who have emailed me up to now are on the Tap House list with the numbers in your party you requested.. General Manager, Michael Ashley, has asked me to convey that larger groups may not be able to sit together and groups of 2 will have to share a table with another group of 2. Also, with a group of 80, orders for the bar and kitchen will need to be staggered for the initial rush. He appreciates your patience

If you're able to join us for the game watch New Year's Eve at Gators Dockside (Brownwood) or Tap House, email with the location you'll be attending and the number in your party. So far, 19 are signed up for Gators and 27 for Tap House. Plenty of room for more members and guests, however, both locations would like to have our numbers as soon as possible, so they can prepare for our game watch and other New Year's Eve festivities.

We are back at both City Fire Brownwood and Tap House for this Saturday's noon game against Rutgers. The Buckeyes goal, other than the victory, is to heal current wounds and avoid any others. Let's help them achieve those goals by cheering them on together Saturday.

As usual, I ask that you reply to this email with the location and number in your party, so both locations are prepared for us.

I don't have to tell you what comes next after this game. Sue has informed me that Tap House will also provide a brunch for THE GAME, but she is awaiting details. Information will be provided as soon as we know the details.

This week's kickoff is at 1:00 PM on the Big10 Network. Our game watches will, again, be at City Fire Brownwood and Tap House. Since not all of our members have access to the Big10 Network on cable or streaming services, I would expect another large turnout so check with Doug to make sure you get on the list to attend

Official blackout: Ohio State has officially declared the November 1st game against Penn State a "Blackout" game, with players wearing all-black uniforms and fans encouraged to wear black.
Fan-led origins: The fan-led blackout theme was first used against Penn State, an attempt to match the atmosphere of Penn State's "White Out" games.
