Hey y'all! I'll be traveling to Kenya at the end of July, and I need to raise $5000 in order to fund my trip. In order to help fund my trip, I have designed this t-shirt! Please follow the link if you are interested in ordering. www.spreadspirit.com/send-hannah-to-kenya

We'll finally be boarding the plane to Nairobi in less than an hour. I may cry because I'm so excited to be reunited with the people I love so much.

We've landed in Amsterdam! Now for a nice long layover in the city :)

The journey finally starts to truly begin as we'll be leaving the United States within a few minutes. First Amsterdam, then Nairobi, and finally Kisumu! I'm so blessed to finally be able to go back home.

Getting pretty excited tonight as the Kenya preparations for the 2013 summer trip finally begin!

The journey finally ended early Tuesday morning around 2am. It was a very long and exhausting trip that started on Saturday. The stay in Kenya was amazing; it was so worth it. I wish I never had to leave. I miss those kids so much, and I cannot wait until I can get back.

Today was a very hard day. We sat with Mercy and had to explain to her why we cannot bring her back to America at this time. So, we pretty much just all sat and cried together. Then, we gave out the rest of the candy, balloons, bracelets, letters, and whatever else we had to give out. Saying goodbye is always the hardest part, but it is comforting knowing that it is not for forever. I had to keep telling all of the orphans that I promise to come back as soon as I get a chance. It was a very sad day, but now I'm ready to come home. We leave for Nairobi tomorrow morning. Thank you so much for all of your prayers! They are greatly appreciated.

Yesterday was a good day, like always. My little Elias, who is not so little anymore, followed me around most of the day and sat on my lap, even though the other children would make fun of him because he is so old (7). Today is the last day that we can bring gifts, so we will paint and give out balloons. I do not want to leave these children, but I am somewhat ready to come home to America. Tomorrow we will have to say goodbye. I will hate saying goodbye to my darling sister, Mercy, and all the others that I love

Got to see the improvements at Benard's Vision school for a brief time this afternoon. They have built a ten-room dormitory for the girls (16 girls per room), and they believe it will be ready for the girls in septermber. They have also built another two-story building for more classrooms, a water tower, a chicken coop, and of course, the well. It barely looks like the same place, but I am very happy for these improvements for the orphans.

It is 7:30pm here in Kisumu, and it is taking all of my strength to stay awake. It has been a long day ministering to different villages outside of Ahero. I will miss being at New River Students tonight in America, but tomorrow I get to see my sister, Mercy :)

We got into Kisumu last night around 6pm Africa time. Leaving for church soon with Benard. Tomorrow, I get to go to the orphanage and see the beautiful children that I miss so much. :)

Feeling extremely exhausted after two horrible and crowded, long flights. But, we have arrived safely in Nairobi. It's 1am here, so we will spend the night at a hotel and take a flight to Kisumu tomorrow evening. Can't wait to finally see my children! Thank you so much for all of your prayers.
