Happy Cinco de Mayo! Have to do my go to margarita. Tony’s Margarita created by .

The use of Meletti Amaro in place of Cointreau is truly brilliant and changes the elevates a margarita.

People who I make it for have coined the name of “Margaretti” for this delightful cocktail! I highly recommend it!

Recipe
2oz of your favorite Repasado Tequila
¾ oz Meletti Amaro
¾ oz Orange Blossom Syrup
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice.

Place all ingredients in a shaker and with ice and shake till nice and cold. Strain into a Double Old Fashioned glass rimmed with Salt, or Tajín!

Cheers!

At last! After many years of searching, I have finally acquired a delightful bottle of Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon.

We are spending the weekend on Whidbey Island. We are at one of favorite places, the Star Store and I was browsing for some bourbon. A guy asked me if I was looking for something specific. I said jokingly, “Happen to have a bottle of Blanton’s?” He said, “yes I do! I just don’t display it. We get 2-3 every few months.” He pulled the bottle out, and the skies opened!

The lesson learned? Always ask.. you just never know!

Island Girl

A special cocktail to celebrate my daughter on her 21st Birthday!

This is a riff on the Jungle Bird cocktail. I wanted to make a special drink that had the taste of Hawaii mixed with a little Italian flare since Ruthie is headed to
Florence Italy in the Fall. The Campari and adding delightful POG to this classic cocktail hit the mark!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTHIE!! I wish I could be with you on the special day!

Valentines would not be Valentines without one of my first valentines cocktails. A riff on a French 75, I steep fresh beets and rosemary is a simple syrup. Love the color and hint of flavor. The Rhubarb bitters just pulls it all together. A beautiful festive cocktail for your Valentine!
