💖 Meet Judy from Peck, Michigan 💖
At 68 years old, Judy is facing more challenges than most could imagine. After being diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer at the end of last year, she has endured surgery, radiation, and multiple complications related to her treatment.
But even while fighting cancer, Judy continues to care for those she loves. She is the primary caregiver for her partner , who has advanced kidney disease and requires dialysis, as well as her 90-year-old mother. Together, they live on a small farm where horses and other animals depend on daily care.
During the most difficult parts of her treatment, Judy was forced to hire outside help to keep everything running, creating financial strain on an already fixed income. Recently, another setback occurred when Judy fell and broke her leg, requiring a stay in a medical lodge because there was no one available to care for her at home.
Despite every obstacle, Judy continues to show incredible strength and determination. Hot Pink Helpers was honored to provide a grant tohelp Judy and her family catch up on bills, ease the burden of mounting medical and caregiving expenses, and provide some much-needed peace of mind during an extraordinarily difficult season.
