Pietra Dura refers to the 16th century Florentine process of laying meticulously cut stones to form an image. Over the years, these images have been found on structures and objects alike. This vintage Italian box features a black leather exterior with gold embossing, and a lovely Pietra Dura scene of a bridge arching over a waterway with mountains in the background. This example is in beautiful condition, and features multiple slots for 30-35 rings on the interior. The box measures 7“ x 5“ x 2“. Asking $135, +10 dollars towards insured priority shipping.
