I'm starting to unpack all the stuff I got on my big road trip. There are many, many boxes and bags. I stopped at a LOT of stores along 3600 miles. I saw almost no glassware, nothing worth mentioning. That's how it is now. But lucky for me, the jewelry is much easier to find. I think it's because people A. Don't know to look for it, B. Can't see it in brightly lit cases and don't know what they are looking for without a blacklight, and C. Don't want to have to go get someone to unlock a case.

This is one of the pieces I found on my trip. It is sterling silver and I believe early 1930s. I love love love the yellow gems offset with the sparkly clear rhinestones. It was pretty hidden in a case and I had to get someone to get it out for me to check. The extra effort is totally worth it!

These huge UV spinel gems are getting more and more difficult for me to acquire. I did just get a few of them to make more of these rings and necklaces, but it may be my last batch. The price of them has more than doubled due to the cost of making them. It's interesting that even though these are lab gems that they are so hard to get. They just do not make them very much. I can get them in smaller sizes but I really like the big 25-40 carat ones.

A customer asked me to make a wedding ring set in solid 14k gold, and this is the result 💚 I actually made a mockup in sterling silver first for his approval, and since I had both examples, I was able to get good photos for listings in my shop. These are a set of two rings, a fitted wedding band next to an engagement ring, featuring vintage uranium glass gems.

If anyone loves the silver set, I have the example set that needs a home. It's a size 7 and available at half price! EDIT: SOLD

The guy that bought the set is a physicist and tested the gamma radiation from the engagement ring. I'll post the photos in the comments. He found a 0.97% increase from normal background radiation, which is well below negligible.

I got this big uranium glass scarab beetle from a gal on Etsy and I NEEDED it to be a ring. Making something like this is out of my skill set, so I did a trade with Creepy Katie's Curiosities and she made this for me! Isn't it amazing? It's a full 2.25 inches long and 1.5 wide. Happy Pride Month!!! 🌈🌈🌈

Pride month is important to me because it gives me a chance to honor the LGBTQIA+ folks who came before me who fought so hard to have the rights I freely have today, and for those who are still fighting for the right to just exist and be happy. I also take this month to honor all the many who died during the AIDS crisis in 1980s.

I made this ring design a couple years for Pride, and luckily I am still able to get the materials to make it. It features a red lab ruby, orange cadmium glass, yellow yttrium aluminum garnet, green uranium glass, vintage Swarovski neon blue rhinestone, and then a purple UV cabochon I made myself out of a proprietary enamel technique (because purple UV glass or gems don't exist 😅). The result is a perfect rainbow in both regular and UV light!

Sometimes simple and dainty is best 💚

I had a lucky find - a roll of this beaded chain that is perfect for bracelets. This opal blue uranium color is really pretty. It's the most common color among newly made uranium glass.

Renè Lalique Avallon Vase c.1927 💚 The guy that bought my perfume bottles bought this piece from an estate. I asked him if I could post it because Lalique uranium glass pieces are a relatively new discovery/appreciation.

This piece sold for $10k 😳 Original Laliques go for big big bucks. They are among the most collectible decorative arts pieces out there.

A couple of fascinating historical pieces I just sold - two original signed Renè Lalique perfume bottles 💚

The one on the right is the Telline model from 1920. The one on the left is a Sans Adieu from 1929. This one comes in three sizes, and this is the smallest. Both of these have been verified as originals.

Original works of René Lalique are among the most sought-after treasures in the world of decorative arts. He revolutionized the modern perfume bottle design. Before his creations, perfume was sold in plain utilitarian bottles. He pioneered the concept of mass-produced perfume bottles that were also works of art.

It is not well-known among collectors of Lalique that he used uranium glass in his works. I actually have a life goal of finding a piece of his jewelry that contains uranium glass. It will require me traveling to a museum in Lisbon, Portugal where most of his works reside (do yourself a favor and look up photos of Lalique jewelry. They will blow your mind). If I can successfully find a piece it will change jewelry history.

Lalique is my greatest inspiration, so these are a bit difficult for me to part with, but not that difficult at the $3k sales price for the pair!

My full uranium glass cameo collection 💚 There are 30 unique custard glass cameos here, all from the 1920s and 30s. I look for ones that have the face details painted. A lot of them are marked "Made in Czechoslovakia," and I do think the ones that are not are also Czech. I like brooches best but I do have a couple of pendants since they are specific to what I want.

Only one of these I found in person. Another someone traded with me. A handful were already identified as uranium when I bought them. But almost all were online "blind buys" - buying one that I thought had potential only to learn when I received it. That means I had to have a whole lot of fails, but I easily resold the ones that weren't uranium. I have been working on this collection for 8 years.
