In honor of September being National Recovery Month , I will briefly share my recovery story with these two pictures.

The B&W photo is hard for me to look at I’m
Barely hanging on , swollen, unhealthy, and without hope lost in a haze of drugs and alcohol
But through hard work, time , willingness to listen and the guidance of those that came before me I can honestly say I now have a life beyond my wildest expectations
So if you are struggling don’t be like me and suffer in silence and shame ,but please try to find the strength and courage to reach out and ask for help , there is a beautiful recovery community waiting to welcome you
The best part is
We DO recover with patience and hard work.
