My Brother Jerry Johnson buried his mother on Friday . The lost of anyone is hard but there is nothing like losing a mother. The color of life changes forever and nothing can fill that vacant space. Man I’ve been involved in the music industry my entire life. The music industry raised me. From Dick Griffey to Micheal Harris to Suge Knight. Personal relationships with each of them. Blessing is to still be her and to witness the next generations of beautiful minds that brilliantly paint pictures of a world full of love and hope. is a genius with an old soul. He is what you call a throwback and i respect his gift. Funny sometimes you meet someone in person and are disappointed because they do not fulfill your expectations. This young brother exceeded my expectations and is lil bro now! Keep letting your light shine little bro ! ✨

Yesterday while at Inglewood Park Cemetery! A friend of mine walked up to me and said, “Jaime , I am mad at you!” My response was , Get in line! We both laughed. Then she proceeded to say that she had no idea that Dr. Shepherd was my mother. That’s crazy because I have been knowing her for years. Then she went on to say that my mother paid for her Associates degree. She worked at Aunt Rosa Lee’s soul food restaurant. My mother believed in patronizing Black businesses. So she would have her Black history meetings, Crenshaw YMCA board meetings, Tom Bradley school meetings and Sunday after church brought her friends there. During this time she met this young lady Ahjenee Ridge and gave her money each time she needed it to pay for her Associates degree. I love hearing stories like this! My mother was so dope! lol. Fruit don’t fall far from a tree ! Miss you mom! lLet your light shine!

One year ago today my nephew Kamryn Barry Stone was murdered at the Rose Bowl. The day of his mother’s birthday ! Such a bitter sweet day ! Thankful for life but deeply missing a life. I still ask God why for it doesn’t make sense ! My nephew should be here ! Laughing and getting into everything he can. I miss his smile and regret that I didn’t spend more time with him. Since his death I’ve leaned to live in HIgh definition , find Gold in moments and love ❤️ those that I love ! Kamryn’s death has produced seeds in the hearts of all those that loved him ! Those seeds being watered by by our tears but helping us all become better versions of ourselves ! Long live the memory of this beautiful soul ! Please pray for my Brother and sister and the whole family. ✨ ❤️
