I've been goofing around on Substack lately, pulling out photos & memories as I work on the chapters of my book. Not entirely sure how Substack works, but I am enjoying reading things from real people that are not based on the fear-driven news cycle. I now realize I have been only posting updates, not actual posts. Doh!

Jesse Campbell tagged me in this 2013 photo of Les, Sam and Neil looking at a page of the original art for Sandman. What a great SDCC panel that was. Jesse tells a great story about escorting Sam past a giant line of people and Sam asking "What are they in line for?" and Jesse said "You."

Deeply sad to hear we have lost the brilliantly talented Sam Kieth, who created the look of the Sandman. He was only 63 years old.
My heart is with his family.
I took these photos at SDCC in 2013 at the Sandman panel.
