We've observed that many consumers are under the impression that our use of T 6063 aluminum over 6061 means 6063 is of lesser quality. This requires some explanation. Our manufacturing process incorporates both 6061-T6 and 6063-T6 aluminum, each chosen for its specific benefits. For parts that require extensive milling, such as tower racks and brackets, 6061-T6 is the material of choice. However, for components like tower tubes that require bending, 6063-T6's characteristics minimize the risk of breakage, making it the preferred option. Our extensive experience of 20 years in producing boat towers underscores the suitability of 6063 for curved designs. It's notable that some brands inaccurately advertise the use of 6061 when, in fact, they're using 6063. As a brand selling directly to consumers, we emphasize factual accuracy.
