The first photo was taken after I worked on the left side of her chest, neck, shoulders, and rhomboid muscles. The second photo was taken after both sides.
Notice how her right trap/shoulder sits a little lower and her chest is more open? đź’—
My goal during these movements is to open the chest, elongate the neck, and encourage lymphatic drainage from the ears to the armpits. We all hold tension in these pathways, which can lead to stagnation. The pectoral muscles are where we store and protect a lot of emotional stress. When we curl our chest inward and forward, we are subconsciously “protecting” our heart- however, we are also blocking the flow of white blood cells that flush waste, bacteria, and excess fluid out of our tissues and back into the bloodstream. 🌀
