Hello my loves. 🩷
I know it’s late and I know most everyone is sleeping now but I just had to post what is not allowing me to sleep.
I have been in business for 5 years now here in Lubbock. I’m going on one year at my current location. I know that almost everyone knows that I have a strong faith and deeply rely on God to get me through everything that comes my way.
When I first moved in, everything fell into place so I knew it was Gods plan. I was on 34th St and business was great and all but I outgrew that space in a matter of just a few months of being there. I asked God to open a door for a bigger building if it was His will and to make everything fall into place so I would know. Well it did. Everything started off great in this new location and business was still great. 🙌🏻
Now we are almost a year in and business has dropped drastically and I’m really struggling to hold on. I don’t normally open up about things like this but I know I have a lot of friends who are believers as well and whom I can ask to pray for me and my business.
I started this store because I not only made a promise to God to help His people in any way that I could, but also because I have always had a giving heart and always loved to help anyone I could. I was once in a place in my life where I had nothing. I was living in a shelter with my 5 children and one in my belly. I was on bed rest because my body didn’t want to hold onto my baby. I lost everything. I had no vehicle, no job, no money, no house, etc. All we had were the clothes we carried in a tote and each other. I did everything I could to hold onto my baby and keep my family together. God saw us through. 🙌🏻 I had my baby, got a job, got a house, a car, and started to build again. I never gave up!
I’m not saying I’m going to give up on my business because God has brought us this far for a reason.
When I was broken into a little over a month ago, I was so discouraged. I was ready to shut down. I never thought that it could happen to me, but it did. God used that to get me noticed! I was on TV! (Advertisement! ) We have a very very FULL store! Donations have been coming in like water running down a water fall! Thank you Lord!
Now, we need CUSTOMERS! I can’t stay open without customers! I made it a point to keep my items priced low so that EVERYONE could afford them. If I was to raise prices just to be able to pay bills then it would make me no different than all the other thrift stores. If someone comes in that can’t afford something, I make it to where they can. Everyone who wants to leave my store with something DOES! My store was made to HELP THE COMMUNITY! That is exactly what I will continue to do.
I say all this to say, THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has supported me and my dream and continues to do so. I’m not shutting down, I just need some prayers. 🙏🏻 (Or maybe some advice?)
I keep seeing little quotes like the ones posted below so I know God is working behind the scenes. 🙌🏻
Please pray for me my loves! 🫶🏻
Good night 🩷
