Playing around with enamel to get these gorgeous wood tones. I’ve always liked the look of wooden rings but in reality they are much too soft for everyday wear, especially as a wedding band (just my personal opinion.) This led to experimenting with enamel to create the look of wood with a much more durable finish and creative freedom to create whatever pattern is desired like these rose gold thorns twining around the band. The enamel colors are hand mixed and painted allowing for any wood color or tone to be used and the ability to create crazy awesome patterns with it. Would you wear this ring? Once I started drawing this one I couldn’t stop. Some designs are just a concept that roll around for weeks until they are fully formed but not this one. I had to stay up late until it was finished 💚 the Celtic inspiration comes from my Scottish heritage and is something that looks like it could be medieval from the days of King Arthur and knights of valor.
