Lauren Meek and Nancy Ball created GEMS: a 3 year program for girls ages 11-15 to help raise awareness of relational aggression and other self-esteem issues common in adolescence. GEMS are Girls Educated and Motivated to Succeed
Girls Educated and Motivated to Succeed (GEMS) is a three year after school program created for girls ages 11-15 by Nancy Ball and Lauren Meek. Our motto is “No matter the

color, shape or size, a true GEM’s beauty comes from inside.” We have been presenters at the National Conference on Girl Bullying and Other Forms of Relational Aggression twice. The GEMS program was created during the summer of 2006 for our St. Greg’s girls and has now blossomed into what it is today! We are very excited to include Newbury High School and John Paul II School in Canada as part of our GEMS community. It’s our hope that through our website you will be able to have access to information, resources, and other educators, parents and counselors dealing with relational aggression and other issues that are negatively impacting our adolescents today.
