All Candy Skein yarn is dyed in a smoke free, pet friendly environment. Since all yarn for sale is kettle dyed or hand painted, all dye lo

ts are unique and vary. If you are buying two skeins of the same colorway, they will be different. When yarn is listed as the same dye lot, the skeins were dyed at the same time, with the same dye, but may vary in areas. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. Time flies when you’re having fun! I can’t believe today is our 17th wedding anniversary ! Sometimes it feels like a lifetime (in a good way!) and others just yesterday. Here’s to a lifetime more. I love you!

First off, thank you all for supporting Candy Skein over the past 13 1/2 years. I never dreamed I would still be dyeing yarn in 2024 and running a storefront. With that said, the time has come for me to find my next adventure. Unfortunately, my health has declined in the last year, and I am no longer able to dye yarn to support a shop and online business. So starting today, everything in store and online is 25% off automatically at check out. The lease at our shop here in Astoria is up August 30th, and we hope to sell all stock by the end of July. In August, we will be selling samples, shelves, etc. Our online shop will remain open until the end of 2024.

Again, thank you all for letting me be a part of your lives for almost 14 years. I will continue to live in Astoria and be involved with the crafting and art community. You will see me around sharing my knitting, crochet, spinning and artwork so this is definitely not goodbye!

I’ve been busy spinning on an Ashford Traveller in the shop the past couple of days! Thanks to those who came in and chatted with me. This is a gorgeous braid by called Aspire! We now carry his gorgeous Targhee and Merino in store!

The new Ply magazine was just delivered and we have gorgeous new fiber from in Extra Fine Merino and Targhee in stock at the shop. Be sure to scroll through the pics to see all the beautiful colors! This fiber is great for spinning and needle felting!

One down, one to go! This is the Rose City Rollers pattern and I’m using Regia Cotton Color in the Dragonfruit colorway we just got at the shop! It’s so soft, knits up easily and has great stretch! I’m impressed.

I am SO EXCITED we now carry 9 colorways of Regia Cotton Color sock yarn! I couldn’t resist casting on right away with this away colorway. We have it now in shop and it will be on the website shortly! Who’s up for summer sock knitting!?!
