If you know me personally, then you know we’ve had a lot of changes recently. We moved into our new house a few weeks ago in my home state of Mississippi, and life has just been crazy. 🤪Noonday was moved to the bottom of the totem pole of priorities, but now I’m back in business!

Our Artisan Business partners in Ethiopia seek to provide hope and dignified work to women made vulnerable by their circumstances. Many who craft the pieces are in the beginnings of a new life after working the streets of Addis Ababa. Through fair and meaningful work, they are pulling themselves out of poverty and rediscovering their worth and value!

Ethiopian farmers scan the ground while working their fields to look for artillery shells from former conflicts. Local craftsmen then melt the shells down to form beads, and the artisans use these beads to make beautiful jewelry. I love how they are taking something meant to harm and making it into a beautiful symbol of hope!❤️

Noonday Collection only uses ethically sourced materials from animals, meaning the animals are NEVER killed for their horn, bone, or leather. Our Artisan Partners use as many parts of the animal as possible in a spirit of respect and resourcefulness, and many have been using these materials in their cultures for generations.

These vibrant Gallery Bracelets are respectfully made by our Artisan Partners in India using dyed bone beads. Here’s a short video on how they’re made:
