Perfect evening for a night hike and wh***ey tasting followed by a spiked marshmallow roast! The Dodge Nature Center campus is beautiful and educational - we learned a lot from our guide Pam, including about how our eyes adjust to available light after dark. Thank you, Pam!

Once back inside, we learned more about the unique accelerated maturation process that Lost Woods Wh***ey uses and more about the ways Lost Woods gives back to the natural world - a real full circle moment from using malted barley in the mash and aging wh***ey in oak containers. Thank you Tom for sharing more of the Lost Woods story (and tasting pours and giveaways) with our group!

The evening ended with spiked apple c***r (thank you Dawn!) and a marshmallow roast around the fire. Thanks also to North Mallow who provided the s'mores kits! The marshmallows we roasted were infused with Lost Woods Wh***ey, which had a subtle but unique flavor impact.

Join Women Who Wh***ey Twin Cities and Lost Woods Wh***ey at the Dodge Nature Center on Wednesday, October 7 to explore how the natural world makes wh***ey possible.

Participants will enjoy a short hike to learn how oak trees yield aging barrels, how peat moss flavors Scotch, and how different grains (corn, rye, barley) shape a spirit's profile. The experience will end with a wh***ey tasting and a talk with Tom Schaeppi of Lost Woods Wh***ey.

Tickets are available at the link in bio and include a guided hike, a guided wh***ey tasting, savory bites, a wh***ey-infused sweet treat from North Mallow, and all applicable local taxes and ticketing fees.

The cocktail room is not currently open to the public, so this night out is a special treat - plus, you'll taste the latest release in Brother Justus' limited edition line-up 🤫.

A Minnesota summer ☀️ is not complete without a Duluth 🌉 day trip! A great mix of Twin Cities-based Women Who Wh***ey regulars and some new faces, including members based in the Duluth area, joined us for not just one, but two exclusive distillery experiences on our Duluth Distillery Double Header!

Thank you to the Vikre Distillery team and to brand co-founder/co-owner Emily Vikre herself for the wonderful hospitality in the newly opened Rickhouse event space and for showing us around! While we are primarily a wh***ey club, we loved learning more about and sampling the gin and aquavit that are at the core of Vikre 🍸

Thank you also to Ryan King and Kevin Evans, the co-owners and co-founders of Duluth Wh***ey Project, for setting us up in the Board Room and sharing more about the Duluth Wh***ey Project story! We had fun getting weird with grape jelly-flavored wh***ey and appreciated the bonus sample of the Single Barrel bourbon 🥃

Our July event with JoAnn Street Green of Wild Turkey was one of the first events held at Top Ten Liquors new Bloomington location! The Store Manager, Patty, just opened the location 6-weeks prior and has lots of things in the works for the remainder of the year.

Thank you to Campari Brian Royse for being the connecting force to bring these teams together! Joanne provided an absolutely enthralling presentation about the Wild Turkey history and its outlook moving forward! We are so honored you came to speak to our group of women!

A few of our members got the chance to join cyncitytours for their Women of Gangsterland historic tour! With an engaging sense of storytelling, Cynthia lead our group through the good - and the bad - history of prohibition in St. Paul. We got a luxury coach ride passing numerous landmarks along the way as we learned all about the bootlegging ladies of early 1900’s. The tour ended at the historic Hamm’s building now home to Saint Paul Brewing where our tour group got BOGO b**r on the patio after!
