My sweet husband makes a habit of finding Heart shaped Petoskey stones. Usually he hides them along the beach for me to find in our resting spots. One parent is usually on kid duty while the other . This was one he left for me last time. Decided to take it to the studio to display.

I love working with Fluorescent Minerals. Of course my favorite is Scapolite! This glacial hitchhiker blows my mind away. There are a few different matrixes of Scapolite, light and dark. Seeing that YELLOW glow on the shores of Lake Erie makes me giddy. They are also a rare find, like…my Neurospicy brain remembers each one I have ever found.
Fluorescent Sodalite. Trademarked Yooper lite glows Orange. All but one of these are from Lake Erie! My super sleuth let me know which one is the Lake Michigan FS.
There are roughly 15 different Fluorescent Sodalite matrixes I’ve identified. Just on Lake Erie!
You will see several matrixes of these too.
Next there is a piece of UV reactive Honey Calcite from Centennial Quarry Sylvania OH. I loved finding those.
Willemite from New Jeesey gives Kryptonite vibes. That green glow is out of this world.
