Blueberry Mint is back… and this one feels personal. 🫐🌿

For years we’ve partnered with Highland Valley Farm up in Bayfield ,the berry capital of Wisconsin, first for our beloved Currant Shrub back in 2018, and now for the return of one of our most requested limited releases.

The best part? This year the berries came full circle.

When we first launched Blueberry Mint, we had to source blueberries from Michigan because the crop just wasn’t there. But in 2026, Highland Valley Farm had exactly what we needed waiting for us in their freezers, and somehow that feels like the universe winking back.

Bayfield has always held a piece of Layne’s heart, cassette tapes humming down Highway 2, ferry rides to Madeline Island, brie pasta in a cabin after long days looking for bears and Lake Superior waves crashing in the distance. The kind of memories that stay stitched into you.

So every bottle of Blueberry Mint carries a little of that magic:
Wild blueberries, summer nostalgia and the reminder that the best things are deeply connected.

BLUEBERRY MINT IS BACK!

Just in time to usher in the sunshine.

We're pretty sure this is the most requested of all the Limited Release flavors and honestly… we get why you kept asking for it.
We’ve been pouring it over ice with sparkling water and calling it good. No overthinking.

The mouthwatering juxtaposition of cooling and warming flavors make this shrub one for the books! They say opposites attract, and blueberry and mint definitely bring out the best in each other. Prepare for a flavor experience that will speak to your soul!!

Before there was Siren Shrub Co., there were two friends, a kitchen, and a lot of late-summer preserving.

Late summer days spent canning and fermenting, snapping green beans, stirring jams, making relishes and salsas, bottling elderflower syrup and talking about life while something good simmered on the stove.

Food has always been how we connect. To each other. To our families. To the places we live.

Before Siren Shrub ever had labels or shelves, we were selling our creations at the local farmers market, pouring samples, asking questions, listening closely. When we discovered shrubs, it felt like a spark. People would take a sip, pause, smile… and suddenly want to know everything. What is this? How do I use it? Where has this been all my life?

That feedback, those conversations—our local community… that’s what gave us the courage to turn a kitchen idea into something real.

We realized early on that shrub isn’t just a drink. It’s a ritual. A little moment. A way to slow down and enjoy something thoughtfully made. An old tradition, made new again, and often something people have never tasted before.

We still see it today when we’re out sampling, that same surprise, that same excitement. And it never gets old.

Siren Shrub was born from collaboration, curiosity, and a deep love for sharing good things. If you’ve ever brought a bottle home, mixed one into a drink, or gifted one to someone you love—thank you. And if you haven’t yet… we think you’ll feel the magic in the first sip.

If you order jalapeño margaritas, spicy spritzes, or anything labeled “with a kick” and are always a little disappointed… this one’s for you.

We’ve tried a lot of “spicy” drinks that promise heat and deliver vibes. This is not that. This shrub actually shows up. You take a sip and; oh. Yep. There it is. That split second of doubt where you wonder if you’ve gone too far.

Then something magical happens.

FOCUSING ON PURPOSE AND CONNECTION

There is a collective grief humming along in the background of every day life for so many of us. It’s hard to tell up from down when rules, norms, laws, don’t seem to matter. Assaults on humanity are broadcast daily on our phones from here and abroad. Family and friends in cities are trying their best to protect themselves and each other from abuses of power and control. Its feeling wrong not to name it, and worse to have little control over it.

Falling into despair (though it happens at times) isn’t a way out, so we have to keep reminding ourselves of what we can actually do. One of which is focusing on purpose and connection.

Connection to nature
Connection to truthful sources
Connection to the communities where we live, eat, work, and play

When connection is embedded into how we show up, use our voices, our time, and our skills, it enables us to build authentic and trusting relationships that deepen community networks and enable rapid responses to community harm.

It’s what gets people through hard times; being connected means folks know who to call, who they can rely on, and who will show up when s**t hits the fan.

It seems like critical work each of us can be focused on for the near and longterm. It can also align with whatever other measures you have the means to enact, like making donations, organizing, or volunteering.

Centering our society towards care, seems like the most radical resistance to what got us to this current reality, and a really good way for us to move through it.

Bitter Late Than Never

This one starts sweet and ends somewhere sharper.

Mango brings the softness. Grapefruit pulls it back. Jalapeño lime slips in with a quiet heat that doesn’t announce itself—just stays. Tonic finishes it clean, slightly bitter, and impossible to rush.

It’s not trying to be a crowd-pleaser.
It just happens to be.

Ingredients
2 oz mango juice
1 oz Jalapeño Lime Siren Shrub
½ oz grapefruit juice
2.5 oz Tonic

Method
Shake mango juice, shrub, and grapefruit juice hard with ice.
Top with tonic. Stir once or twice.
Finish with a peel of orange.

For slow evenings, late arrivals, and people who like their drinks with a little edge.
