Before and After: A beautiful Burkart flute in for a COA and several pads to be replaced. It had been several years since its last COA. The oil in the mechanism had turned an interesting yellow color. It was very thick and made the keywork sluggish. Now the keys are very responsive to even the lightest touch. Hope the owner can notice the difference! Serial number removed from the barrel pictures for privacy.

This tuba was dropped and landed right on the leadpipe. Unfortunately I hate to remove the leadpipe from the horn to take care of the dent. I completely forgot to grab an after the cleaning photo 🤦‍♂️ The customer seemed happy with the results, and that's all that matters!

Out with the pitted cross brace and gooseneck tube and in with the new! A very nice King 2B Silver Sonic in for repair. The pitting was so bad, the serial number was eroded away. All fixed and ready for the new owner to enjoy!

Before and after: sluggish valves you say? Gee, I wonder why. If you think the first picture looks dirty, you should have seen what came out of the horn! All clean now, inside and out.

Before and After: another Buffet clarinet in for a COA and all the tenon corks to be replaced. A tip for all your band directors and reed players, the cork grease in the chap stick tube reacts with the glue we use for tenon corks. If you have had a cork peel off like tape before, there is a good chance the chapstick style cork grease is in the case. I have used the Schilke lanolin based slide grease in the round tub here in the shop for 30 years. It works great!

Before and After: An Altus in for a COA and a ripped pad replacement. The customer noticed that certain notes just didn't feel right. The slight tear in the G # pad created the tiniest leak that caused the issues. I hope she notices the difference in how it plays after the repair.

Before and After: Low Flute edition! A very nice Kingma bass flute in for a few ripped pads and a COA. This is a lovely instrument that plays even better now that the leaks are taken care of.
