When an emergency situation or act of violence occurs, there's a lot of comfort in being able to pick up the phone and call for help. We rest easy each night knowing that we have a great team of officers constantly working behind the scenes to ensure that our community remains a safe place to live and raise our families.

THREE BILLION BIRDS have been lost in North America since 1970. In observance of National Bird Day, we want to share 6 WAYS WE CAN ALL HELP PROTECT BIRDS:

1) Install bird feeders & houses in your backyard. A large portion of loss is due to loss of habitat.
2) Prevent window collisions. Hanging decals or sun catchers on large windows can help prevent window crashes.
3) Keep pet cats indoors or attach a small bell to it's collar. The bell will help by warning nearby birds.
4) Safely discard or recycle plastic bags & 6-pack holders. Before doing so, grab some scissors and snip open each loop.
5) Avoid chemical pesticides as much as possible.
6) Become a "citizen scientist" in your own home. You can identify and count birds coming to your feeder and transmit your data online via feederwatch.org.
