Help a Sea Monster have a great day at the beach! That was the task for the beta test of the mobile bike tour. The bike tour asks families to go from location to location with their bikes along the Rockaway peninsula and digest story elements sent to their mobile phones via QR codes, text messages, picture messages and voice messages. Additionally the environment was augmented with signage. The first user test was May 17, 2010

On May 27, Oceanlab took to the road and did four beach safety workshops on the CUNY on Wheels bus. The Oceanlab interactive workshop was followed up with an on the beach workshop run the Rockaway Waterfront Alliance.
