Necklace
Copper, spent cartridge cases, finished hourglass (10 min.), 925 silver, plastic patient wristband
Every 10 minutes, a woman is killed by a partner or family member somewhere in the world.
This necklace – made from bullet casings, an hourglass and XX patient wristbands – makes this time physically tangible.
In the stomach. Where feelings reside and where each of us grows up.
A silent protest against gender-based violence.
Not a pleasant piece of jewellery, but a reminder: every minute counts.
Every life too.
