Get started on your holiday shopping by shopping local at Local Trade Market! I’m excited to be back vending here with over 100 vendors of all types - art apparel, design decor, health & beauty, and of course yours truly with jewelry! There will also be food and live music, and even a chance to take a photo with ‘Ol Saint Nick. This time we’re raising money to donate to the Phoenix Children’s hospital, so please tip Santa and be ready for raffles 🎟️

It’s free admission and to park. If you scan the code, you can see the list of vendors and their locations. You can find me in the RED zone (on the map) behind Pizzeria Bianco.

My three words for 2024

I know it’s February, but when I saw these 3 words together it felt serendipitous. I instantly felt connected them, and was a great reminder to set intentions for the year. Even though we’re in February, I don’t think it’s ever too late. So hopefully this inspires you to set your own any time this year 😉

For me, this is what these words mean -

LOVE: taking time for self love and loving on others

CREATE: taking time to create new things because life’s too short

ENJOY: trying to not stress and sweat everything

Jumping into February with this photo!

It was taken in front of a wall near me in Hell’s Kitchen on a beautiful sunny day. It’s [almost] as if the graffiti artist coordinated their colors with this standpipe and it became the perfect backdrop for capturing a photo of Komel wearing ‘LASHES’.

I’m currently working to update my website, making earrings for an upcoming market and making a new collection so keep your eyes out for all these exciting things to come!

Take time to make space 🪑📝📐

My first desk was two stools pushed together with a piece of cardboard on top. I thought the flexibility of putting it away would be best since I live in a small NY apartment. But after awhile I realized too much time had been spent away from touching clay because I wouldn’t get around to setting it back up after putting it away. And that’s when I had my realization of the importance of making space for my creativity.

So if you’re a creative like me, please remember to give yourself some space to release your creativity and bring that joy to your soul 🤍

Who knows what the next level of this looks like but I love having a little space where I can sit at and dream it up ✍🏼

A client came to me and said she loved ‘STICKS & STONES’ but wondered if I could make them shorter and I said yes! Here’s a side by side picture to show how they came out in comparison. (Original on right, modified on left)

I love the definition of ‘mother’ for a Mother’s Day post. It’s a reminder that you can choose your mother and you can be a mother to anyone and any thing.

I am fortunate to have my biological mother as well as my mother in law whom I consider my mothers. The inspiration for the name of these earrings ‘THE EMBRACE’ came from it reminding me of a mother’s love.

Whether it’s for yourself, the person you consider a mother, or just someone you care about, make sure to get your orders in by Tuesday morning to wear or gift them for next Sunday, May 8th 🤍
