A little late posting this, but thank you to everyone who came to our last Skate Movie Night in April! Before the movie, we pregamed with some mahjong, and some of us went on a quick skate around Kailua. Right around sunset, the game board and skates were put away, and we settled in for a screening of Skatetown USA.

We will not have a Skate Movie Night in May, but stay tuned for Skate Movie Night in June! Details and film to be announced!

Join us for a Spring Skate! With Easter and the Spring season here, itʻs a good time to gather and celebrate. So bring your friends and your skates on April 11 from 5pm-7pm for an all-ages meetup at Enchanted Lake Community Park in Kailua! This free event is open to all ages, genders, and skill levels. Sometime before sunset, Melissa will lead a trail skate along the Keolu Drive bike path; you can also stay at the park and groove to the musical jams provided by Marino the Funky Ninja ! SURE GRIP MOTION WHEELS IN STOCK!

These 62mm 78A outdoor wheels are great for skating outside on asphalt, concrete, sport court, and most outdoor surfaces. Dance skaters will find them grippy compared to hybrid or indoor wheels, but if you use your skates to commute or just casually skate for fitness and fun, these wheels are ideal.

Got some thread or yarn and need an excuse to use them? Want to do some arts & crafts but need a little boost to get started? Got admin work to do but would rather do it around others than by yourself? Join us on Wednesday, April 15, from 5pm-7pm at our skate shop for a Crafting Party! Bring your yarn, threads, art supplies, laptop, or whatever project you are working on! This is a great way to do something that you like to do with some like-minded people!

This event is free and open to all ages. Let's make stuff together!

If you are driving in, please park on street. Metered parking is free after 6pm!

Join us for Skate Movie Night on April 18!

This month's film is Skatetown USA, a 1979 musical comedy roller disco film about the rivalry between two roller skaters. The movie features an ensemble cast including Scott Baio, Maureen McCormick, and Patrick Swayze in his very first film performance.

We will screen the film at the skate shop on April 18 from 6pm-8pm. It's free and open to all ages. The movie is rated PG.

Complimentary popcorn and bottled water will be available; BYO snacks. There will be two benches to sit on, and an area rug up front to lay on if you prefer. You can also bring your own comfy chair. Space is limited; come early to reserve your spot.

Future films and shows will range from lighthearted fantasies to serious documentaries, all with a connection to skating. We hope that you can join us!

Welcome to Spring! With summer right around the corner, it's a good time to spruce up your skates with new wheels, laces, and other accessories! Sometimes a simple change of laces can give your well-loved skates a fresh look.

As much as we were really really REALLY looking forward to our annual St. Patrick's Skate Rollout this year, the weather has other plans. For the safety of our fans, community, and team, we are rescheduling the meetup to a future undetermined date. In the meantime, if you still want to get your skate on, KIHA Public Skating is open, and they have a bunch of all-age sessions all weekend. So bring the ʻohana there for a fun and dry skate experience, and stay safe this weekend!
