ON // KASHMIR, REIMAGINED
September begins with its birthstone and the first ring I ever created. It was not a diamond. It began with a rare four-carat Kashmir sapphire. Forever grateful to my friend who trusted me with something so meaningful before I had ever created a ring.
I turned it east-west and framed it with 1.02 carats of Colombian emeralds, set in platinum. The original diamond baguettes became a second ring for her daughter. It was the first heirloom I reimagined. Still theirs, but now hers, preserving everything it had always meant.
