WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I started this company, Aroc Urtu, 5 years ago with a collection of beachstones that I had been gathering since childhood and inlaid diamonds and other precious gems. At the time nobody was making anything similar - I know because I did a TON of research. It was my own personal epiphany - the big Aha moment that changed the direction of my life. Now there are a bunch of jewelers doing similar pieces, and that's ok. BUT now there is a guy out there who has just started a company that is making almost IDENTICAL pieces and beyond that, the story on his website is PRACTICALLY IDENTICAL to mine! I pointed this out to him via email, and HE is threatening ME with legal action. Can you believe it?! I'm really curious what other artists and designers would do in this situation.
