Same diamond. Different origin.

A lab-grown diamond isn't a lookalike. It's a real diamond, with the same crystal, the same hardness and the same fire as one formed in the earth. Side by side, you can't tell them apart without specialist equipment.

What's different is the story. A natural diamond took billions of years to form, and there are only so many. A lab-grown diamond forms in weeks and costs considerably less at the same size and quality.

Neither is the wrong answer. Natural if rarity and origin matter to you. Lab-grown if you'd rather put your budget into size, quality or the setting.

They fall for a shape they saw online, then try to make the budget fit. Here's the order that makes it easier:

01 Budget: set it first. It shapes every choice after it.
02 Shape: round, oval, marquise, pear or emerald. Each one wears differently.
03 Setting: solitaire, hidden halo, halo or three-stone look.
04 Metal: yellow, white, rose gold or platinum.
05 Center stone: a lab or natural diamond, or a sapphire, emerald, ruby or aquamarine.

Or skip four of them. With a fully composed SAMA ring, you set the budget and we've decided the rest.
