Talk about reinvention! This artist, designer, fabricator, journalist, digital marketing communications specialist, broadcast producer (well which is it?) is actually a one-of-a-kind custom jeweler. Second Act? Bunk. This bi-coastal ex-Ad Woman and Internet Entrepreneur finally found her Third Act when out of boredom and lack of professional challenges (read out of work), she started to bead. One thing led to another and a few years and lots of cash later, Elaine Morris Palmer is a working New York City custom jewelry designer. She says the name BEADLUM just happened when one day Palmer looked around the organized chaos of stones and findings in her Manhattan studio and reeled from the bedlam. Her exciting precious and semi-precious stone and metal collections are markedly different from one year to another, yet each season is remarkably wearable all year round. Unexpected intermingling of stones, chain and sometimes even fur and leather combine to give any outfit a stylish accent.

Popular among New York's pickiest style setters, Palmer's wares are sold privately, on the Internet at BEADLUM.com and available at fine Manhattan boutiques.
