“Flashback Memories”
It has been a decade since left Japan, my personality has been shaped to something different compared to my past when I started Fashion in Tokyo.
Looking back to my past time in Tokyo, I was in a darker time. Most of my inspirations for my creation were my trauma, my dark memories, and the shocking experiences I needed to face as a teenager.
I am so much happier now living in NYC, I am so much happier now because of the people around me and the experiences I could have in this city. Tokyo is a good city though.
This collection is my way of saying goodbye to some of the dark memories I needed to carry on my shoulder as a designer, but also my appreciation for the unique experiences to create who I am now as a designer.
I love saying my life is fun and happy because I know how life can be hard and not fun.
These are some of my flashback memories that were important for me to feel my growth as a designer.
