Everyone loves to talk about sustainability—recycled gold, ethically sourced gemstones and diamonds, carbon offsets, etc.
Meanwhile, a vast portion of the “fine” jewelry market in the US is quietly mass-produced halfway around the world in enormous factories, by underpaid labor, shipped thousands of miles, and somehow still marketed as thoughtful and responsible.
Making things locally isn’t a trend or marketing tool, it’s the most effective form of sustainability there is: real people, real wages, real accountability, and a very short supply chain.
Of course we use recycled gold, and only source our gemstones and diamonds through ethical channels, but it turns out the most radical act isn’t a slogan—it’s knowing exactly who made the thing you’re wearing, and being able to come visit the Atelier where the magic actually happens.
