I decided to start making these bracelets back when I found out that my boyfriend would soon be deploying for Afghanistan. Mixed emotions started to surround me and as a way of coping I thought that maybe I could occupy my time while he was away for weeks or months at a time training and preparing for combat. As I prepared myself for what was ahead I had a vision of how I could handle this and at
