It began the way meaningful things often do—quietly.
I’ve followed for some time. Her paintings feel like entire worlds—alive and pulsing, as if they are outlining some ancient unspoken language. They echo a thing I cannot name but intuitively recognize.
When we connected — it was like picking up a conversation started lifetimes ago. So alive—enthusiastic. Two women moving by feel, who create from the inside out.
She asked me to make a ring for her partner (hi .keller ) I asked her to paint something true for my home. A quick exchange of admiration became a joyful practice—long voice notes, phone calls, shared stories, and quiet truths. We were both digging for deeper, mapping each other’s inner landscapes in order to create something near and reflective from a thousand miles away.
When the ring was finished, I finally met in person—and with her, her beautiful partner. Over an entire weekend, we celebrated their engagement together, and just like that, what began as distant appreciation became a flourishing, wildly fun friendship. It’s a rare and otherworldly thing when a connection so new can feel lifetimes old.
Jewelry has a way of pulling people closer—of holding story, memory, and meaning all at once. It invites connection. That’s the real magic of this work, and why I’ll never take it for granted. It’s why I do what I do.
Thank you, my girl, for trusting me with something sacred—and for showing me what happens when creation becomes communion. What a wild and beautiful thing it is. All of it.
