These Spider amulets — Maeng Mum Maha Lap (Money Trap Spider) — sang out to me for a feature today. While I’m not a huge fan of spiders in real life, there’s certainly something delightful about these vibrantly colorful amulets that captures my attention and admiration. In Thailand, spiders are a symbol of wealth and good fortune, as they are said to trap good energy in their webs. This can be used to protect yourself and bring you wealth, good luck, and success. Due to two of these amulets similarity to our Magic Butterfly Thep Jamlang Soul Mate Amulet’s featuring of a couple facing each other, I’m gathering that these two are also intended to help attract love.

As we hurtle towards Holiday Season 2026, today October 18, is our last class of the year (and it sold out before I could warn you!). Worry not, however, as they’ll start back up in January 2027. Hoping to gift a class for the holidays? You still can! We have a gift card that covers the class that you can gift, and then the recipient can sign up for a date that suits them. What a spectacular gift! I know it can be a bummer to hear that you can’t take the class during the height of the holiday hubbub, but trust that it’s best for everyone, as the store can get BUSY and the class is right in the middle of the shop, surrounded by all of our spectacular beads… and all of the people looking at them.

The Citipati are two skeletons, one male and one female, entwined in dance after their heads were cut off by a thief as the two meditated unaware, never leaving their trance. Their symbol is meant to be a visual reminder of the eternal dance of death, perfect awareness and impermanence. They are honored in dance twice yearly, once during summer and once during winter, symbolic of the cycle of life and death.
