One of the most exciting parts of designing jewelry is taking something everyone recognizes, like a pearl, and presenting it in a way they never expected.

Recently, someone commented that these earrings looked like entities from the Backrooms, and honestly? It might be my favorite comment I’ve ever received.

Not because it was flattering or unflattering, but because it meant the piece made them feel something. Unsettled. Curious. Intrigued. Whatever the reaction, it was a reaction.

That’s always the goal. Not to create something forgettable, but something that sparks a feeling.

And the funniest part? The Backrooms movie is set in San Jose, where I’m from. So honestly… they might be onto something.

When I'm selecting colors for our Thunderstorm earrings, I'm usually working from a reference image. A little more warmth here. A little more cool tone there. Sometimes a color gets added simply because it feels right. The goal is never perfection. It's creating something that feels like a beautiful storm, colorful, dimensional, and alive. 🌧️✨

This custom bridal choker completely stole my heart. The bride wanted something that felt elegant but a little more personal, so we paired our signature pearl gradation with sterling silver chain and a single pendant pearl. The contrast between the bright silver and luminous white pearls is just stunning.
