Working on quilts today and just had a moment of how lucky I am to get to do what I do. Of course it’s a business, however we do continue to charge half of what our competitors charge mostly because we love what we do. I love seeing the memories in each box when I open it!

What I love the most is giving the quilts back to the families. Many times it’s happiness. Their child is graduating and this is their childhood.
Their little girl was a dancer and this is the dance costumes.

But I often hand off quilts and see the tears of the person sitting in the car. The memory of someone gone too soon. The loss of mom or dad or even worse, their child.

I hope these quilts can be a hug when someone needs it……
But I thank God daily for helping me do this so I never had to return to the corp world.
