The otherworldly purple sparkle of amethyst has been catching the eye of humans worldwide for millennia - one of my favorite bits of ancient lore regarding this crystal is how it was used to line drinking vessels in medieval times to ward off drunkenness!

(This is one of those bits of rockhounding trivia I would use as a party icebreaker instead of actually testing irl, ya know what I mean? Imbibe responsibly!)😆

Is it just me, or has it been a never ending holiday since September? Nevertheless, Valentines Day is coming, which in my mind heralds the near arrival of spring time.
