A Sunday morning well spent 💚 We finally explored the Amanda trail...commemorating Amanda De-Cuys, a blind Coos woman forced by soldiers to walk 80 miles barefoot over sharp coastal rocks in 1864, leaving a blood trail. It symbolizes a brutal "Trail of Tears" for indigenous people, with a statue near Amanda Grotto representing her suffering.

I went on an intential and grounding mental health walk this morning.
Eyes wide open.
Coffee in hand.
So much green! 💚
I saw a sign.
Sleeping daisies with baby slug.
Last year's leaves.
Hardworking woodpeckers. I felt bad to interrupt them with my footsteps.
A million different bird songs.
Playful squirrels.
Human and furry friends.
⭐️ 10 out of 10.
Highly recommend. ⭐️
