A labor of Love. Persistent Purrrrrpose.
Those of us who are lorded over by our cats (admit it, it's fact), have all suffered from the paws of that kitty who just CAN'T resist knocking a glass off a table. We can scream and shout 'No!' til the cows come home and your little demon will casually give the glass one last tap while maintaining eye contact.
I've always wanted to capture that moment to add to my Crazy Cat Lady series. I finally got it right. Each wire formed and soldered (there are a lot of solder joints on this beast) individually while my quality control fur babies were brutal with their comments. (not enough whiskers... That tail is not curled correctly...). The glass was certainly challenging as each drop houses a small spinel.
Overall, I am happy with the end result and this one of a kind, (never to be repeated by me) will be offered at the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa here in Eureka Springs along with my other cat creations. I hope Jasper and Ozzie approve.
