AZ Rocks- Handcrafted Jewelry and More

I have been a rock hound most of my life, and it was bound to eventually wear onto my husband. So, as our yard has filled with rocks of all sizes, we've decided to make them pay for their storage. We started with some simple pieces created from cabochons I made. That led to my husband and I putting stones and embellishments on walking sticks we made from branches that we cut or found on our property here in the mountains after windstorms! As one thing led to yet another, I taught myself to carve (expect that to get better as time goes on)! The beading came about because I had picked up some beading supplies at a yard sale (with intention to get rid of them on ebay), so decided to try my hand at beading. Oh dear...I was hooked. As my interest is mostly in stones though, I've added all kinds, and not just what I've found (I wish I could find Peruvian Opals, freshwater pearls and Aquamarine, but alas, we live in Arizona!) While playing with those medias, I discovered I like playing with metals too. Sigh..where will it end? So you will find something for everyone from Turquoise, Jasper and Angel Skin necklaces, to Swarovski Crystals, Dichroic glass, Freshwater pearls, Polished stones, Unfinished Creek stones, Copper and Aluminum, and whatever else I come up with. We live on 2+ acres covered with trees, and what do you do with all those branches that the storms take down besides making walking sticks? You make birdhouses and fairy houses! So, watch for those to appear here soon too. If I have time to get back to it, you may see some of my framed or canvas photography show up here also.
