I have waited far too long to comment on this year's Phoenix Comic Con.
I don't know if you all heard about it or not, but on the first day of the Convention a disturbed young man came with delusions that he was put on earth to destroy the man who once played a Power Ranger. Thank goodness he was caught before he could hurt ANYONE.
The convention heads figured out the only way to do security was to ban all weapons even the fictional ones. (Light sabers, proton packs...you get the idea.)
While we understood the increase in security, this sick man scared a lot of us. What has annoyed Donna and her employees has been the lack of security BEFORE the doors officially open.
For example the man who was caught was in our booth BEFORE the doors opened. Donna even talked to him for a bit. He had NO badge on, but that has been the norm for all the years we have worked this convention.
Despite that, we love Phoenix Comic Con, and we missed those of you who were scared away by the actions of one crazy man. We didn't blame you, but we missed you.
Depending on what the Convention heads decide for 2018 we aren't sure what our plans will be, but we hope to see you at other shows, and we will keep you informed on this page! Thank you all for sticking in there with us!!!
