The 2026 Lewton-Brain Foldform Competition is on a delayed schedule this year. We usually open the competition around this time and announce results in December / January. This will shift by a couple of months; the exact timing depends on how our plans evolve.
We chose the technology tools used to run the competition way back in 2013. They served us well but are now aging out rapidly. In fact, a few pivotal features we need became unusable this year or threaten to become unstable. So we need some time to regroup.
NEW!! In the meantime, Charles Lewton-Brain and Melissa Muir are rolling out video-based lessons that we're confident metal artists and new adventurers will love. The new “Foldforming Friday” series will begin on October 23rd and feature a new video demo or lesson each week at www.facebook.com/groups/foldforming.
The timing really couldn't be better. Based on this content and the extended deadline, we think even more of you will develop the skills and confidence to enter the competition and expand the boundaries of your work. So use this extra time to learn, play, and create. We'll be here working hard to bring you a better event platform that will take us into the future.
All my best,
Sue Lacy
