This one-of-a-kind mixed-metal necklace found its forever home this weekend at the Rittenhouse show in Philadelphia. Seeing this piece worn with such confidence and joy made my day.

New work is coming to two spring shows, and for those who like seeing jewelry on the body before choosing, this is a rare chance to do that inperson.

I’ll be bringing new work to Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst in New York, May 1–3, and the Rittenhouse Square Fine Craft Show in Philadelphia, May 8–10.

There is something different about seeing how a necklace lies along the collarbone, how stitched gold and silver catche light, and trying on earrings and seeing their proportion in person.

I’m bringing new pieces shaped through layered texture, fine silver and gold stitching, and jewelry made to be worn with ease.

With Mother’s Day the following weekend, the shows are a lovely time to find a piece with meaning, whether for someone you love or for yourself. More more details on the shows see link in bio

This bracelet has always felt like armor.
Each square is cut, forged, oxidized, then soldered on one at a time. I work with ice at the torch to protect the color. Too much heat and it’s gone.
There are over 60 stitched squares here. Every one placed by hand so the bracelet holds its structure but still moves. Heavy. Flexible. Protective.
I sent this piece to in Key West, Florida. It found its new home the next day. Now I need to make one for myself.

Stopped by the MCA Chicago museum shop while I was in town and spent some time seeing my work in the store. It’s always grounding to encounter the jewelry out in the world.

Biz was wonderful to meet. She has a real ease with customers and loves helping people find jewelry that feels right. The shop is packed with strong, well-curated merchandise and worth a visit.

This video shows part of my Keum-boo process. A thin sheet of 24k gold is bonded directly to silver, creating a surface with depth and warmth before any stitching begins. Once the gold is fused, I stitch into the metal, building texture line by line.

Several pieces in this series aren’t on my website. They’re available in person this weekend.
